“Dance is a powerful impulse, but the art of dance is that impulse channeled by skillful performers into something that becomes intensely expressive and that may delight spectators who feel no wish to dance themselves. These two concepts of the art of dance—dance as a powerful impulse and dance as a skillfully choreographed art practiced largely by a professional few—are the two most important connecting ideas running through any consideration of the subject. In dance, the connection between the two concepts is stronger than in some other arts, and neither can exist without the other”. “Britannica”

It is a deeper place that is enhanced with flexibility.
I view dance as a relationship. Dance is a vehicle to allow one to look into the soul and discover a voice of connective movements. I celebrate the voice of the trained and non-trained. I dance to collaborates with the old movement thoughts merge with new fringe ideas. This is a new fringe idea which is transferred to the mind-body connection. As I navigate through life and gather truths to share with the world. I make a dance to communicate with the soul which allows one’s spirit to be awakened. When the dance soul awakens, the process begins with the mind and travels through the body and journey out into the world. My journey begins in a place and a time where conscious takes place. I begin a soul birth to allow the dance voice to connect and share this voice with my audience. I bring the true spirit of dance to my community through this Beauty for Ashes is given.
