Jalisa Logan began her gymnastics training at the age of four in Fayetteville, NC where her father was stationed as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. She continued her training as her family moved throughout the south to Shreveport, LA and Hampton, VA achieving the status as a Level 8 gymnast known for high energy vaults and energetic floor routines. She began liturgical dance under Doris H. Dancy at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Newport News, and continued dancing through college where she ministered with Karar Dance Ministry of First Baptist Church, Main Street in Charlottesville, VA and then as a soloist dancer with Element Uplift Music Group, LLC, performing extensively throughout Central Virginia. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a B.A. in Cognitive Science, Jalisa began formal dance training at Beauty for Ashes Contemporary School of Dance in Hampton, VA under David F. Riddick.
