Greetings Readers! Welcome back to Motivational Tuesdays, hopefully you are settled with tea at home or at your office. Now let’s get right to the topic of discussion.
With times being how they are now, it is often so difficult to bypass things in life, in order to do what we need to do. Instant vs. Delayed Gratification. Today, we will talk about sacrifices for the greater good. For those of you that have cringed or even have chills sent down your spine from just reading the word, “sacrifice” this article definitely applies to you.
We must give up childish things in order to mature, learn and grow. However, it is the process and the journey of delaying instant gratification, where we will begin to see intangible and tangible results.
Now this process, does it just happen over night? No, anything worth having is worth waiting for. Anything, that new promotion, that new spot on the dance team you just auditioned for, that new shiny car you really want and even friendships & relationships. Everything takes time and consistency, in order to come to its’ true fruition.
Just a few words of encouragement this week! Remember stay blessed and keep your head up and goals high!!!
Happy Tuesday everyone, this is now the tenth addition to Motivational Tuesdays, can you believe it?
Time is a concept that seems too fast for some and not enough for others. That’s people’s perceptions.
Even though it may be hard to change or alter people’s perceptions or viewpoints of things within the world, every little bit helps with overcoming prejudice perceptions. Someone has to take the first swing at breaking down false and harsh stereotypes. Art seems to have a positive effect on doing so. Music, Painting, Singing, Dancing… expressing yourself in ways that are only effective if pure and heartfelt.
People will always think what they will and however they were raised, almost everyone will have something both positive and negative to say about everything you do. You must learn how to fine tune your senses to deal with backlash from the public. Some do not appreciate the true value of art, as an artist, singer, dancer or painter, it is imperative that you make your mark.
“As fast as time moves, that’s how fast things can change… even one’s perception.” – Ann
Shown above is a small documentary entitled, “Pretty Big Movement.” However, there are so many different stigmas in art, we will review select few over the month of March. Let’s overcome the negativity.
“One of the processes of your life is to constantly break down that inferiority, to constantly reaffirm that I Am Somebody.” – Alvin Ailey
Often times we find ourselves in a constant daily battle, not only with ourselves, but the judgments & the backlashes and prejudice of others. I guarantee you if we look to other for self-affirmation. We would constantly be drained. Always.
You must always wake up and provide affirmation of SELF. Do not dwell on the hypotheticals, instead make that dream goal, your own. WRITE YOUR NAME ON IT. It’s yours.
The best you, is the one that is in under pressure. Diamonds, are simply rocks, that have been exerted and forced to shine after being constantly pressured. Just know that your shine is somewhere along the perilous and strenuous pressure that you face daily. The only thing standing in between who you are and who you wish to be are the things that you do and where your heart is pure.
Our newest addition to Conversation and The Arts, is the new edition of Motivational Tuesdays! Visual Arts encompasses so much more than just dance, music and artistry of painting.
Today, we will look at how The Arts contributes to the development and growth of children that seem to be in dire situations. This all about motivating and uplifting the community through the expression of The Arts.
Today marks the 6th Edition to our very own Motivational Tuesdays series!
We feel for the end of January there should be a special tribute to those that overcome odds to do what they love! Often times we take for granted what we can so easily do without second thought, what about those that must overcome not only the negativity of the world saying what they cannot do, but also they can bec their own worse enemies.
I hope that those that have read the motivational series, have found a sense of realization that truly anything is possible as long as you put your heart into it.
Do not be scared to let your heart lead you, you will be amazed at the heights you can reach with consistency and determination. Never give up your hopes and dreams. Speak positively into everything you do, you will see it flourish!
In the video shown, this man may be blind, but he lets his heart direct his footsteps. In turn, he doesn’t stumble and he doesn’t fall. He even manages to lead on his own! One can only be astonished and amazed at the type of movement this man is able to do. You would never know of his disability, which in turn became an opening and a capability he used to turn into an uncontrived masterpiece.
We love you, keep doing what you’re doing! You bring inspiration across the dance community and the world. Much love!
Often times, when we think of dance, we think “limber and athletic.” However, anyone can fit the title of “Dancer,” as long as you’re driven and you consistently push towards that goal.
With the video shown below, we see just that, a man that beats all stereotypes of the “typical dancer.”
There is a lesson to be learned from the effort displayed by this trooper. Even though, in the physical sense, he may be confined to just his wheelchair, his mental has surpassed the ability of his physical.
He has reached a new height of his ability, all because he believed!
